In addition to legal matters, for the proposed project activity there is no economic incentive for the capturing and combustion of methane from landfill gas since there will be or the selling of electricity or thermal energy.
Therefore it is clear that without the income from the sale of ERUs, the project activity would not be carried out because finances for the necessary investments are hardly available for the municipalities in the Russian Federation.
